Foster Education And Support Program
This on going free, interactive program offers guidance and support to those who are currently fostering or are foster curious.
Over the past 20 years I have fostered hundreds of dogs so I created this free program to help fosters set the dogs up for success as well as provide support for the humans looking after them.
Fostering a dog is a unique experience - we are bringing strange, sometimes severely traumatized dogs into our homes to nurture and then pass along to someone else. It brings out all the feelings - overwhelm, stress, confusion, joy even sometimes sadness. This program is here to help.
What is offered -
A free monthly webinar that covers topics such as - what to do when you first bring a foster dogs home, body language, tips on getting the dog out on leash for the first time, finding out what the foster dog loves and is afraid of, the foster dog and your dog, good management, consent petting.
Free one on one training/behavior help for anyone currently fostering a dog.
We will also be scheduling special guest speakers to share their expert knowledge as well.
Also offered is access to the member page with free dog behavior videos as well as an extensive additional resource list available to help support you in your foster journey.
Please note - EVERYONE is welcome - no matter your philosophy about dog behavior is, your experience level or whether you are currently fostering or just curious.
The webinar is a one hour presentation followed by an additional hour of q&a, on the third Saturday of every month at 10am PST.
It is open to everyone and is free of charge.
*Please feel free to reach out if you have a group of 5 people or more and would like to schedule a private meeting at a different time.
